From Rodbyhavn I got the ferry to Puttgarden on the German island of Fehmarn. Pictured here: A locally made road sign. A garage door painted in the regional coat of arms these appeared everywhere on the island on anything from gateposts to mailboxes, notice the depiction of the bridge above it, a strong source of local pride.
